Where did your journey into the arts begin?
It began when I was young, I used to be into graffiti and then it became what it is today.
How is your personality reflected in your work?
You can see many different types of projects mainly the grimes. I think that shows pretty that I’m exploring my creativity.
What goes on in your average day?
I check my social medias, reply to messages, answer questions, etc. Then I go to school which is pretty self explanatory. At night I usually start some type of project whether it is a grime or something photoshop related.
How long does it typically take for you to finish a piece?
An hour. Although recently it’s taking a bit more since I’m trying to make the illustrations more detailed and of higher quality.
How would you describe your creative process?
First I take the photo that I’m working on and Outline it, then I add the details (the droplets, all the features of the face) after I’m done with that I fill in the outline then add shading and lighting and it’s basically done.
What do you want others to take away from your work?
I love it when someone tags me in a picture or tells me how I’ve inspired them to do their own thing. I think that’s one of the things that make me continue with my work.
A common problem that a lot of artists are affected by is creative block, how do you overcome that?
I can always find an image to work with. I don’t find that as a problem.
Are there any aspiring creatives you admire right now?
Oh of course, I love @yogatti and his work, he is killing the game right now also a friend of mine, he is a true artist @theemptyheartsclub
What can we expect from Expllode in 2017?
If nothing goes wrong and I fix the issues I’m having you’ll be seeing a lot of collaborations, interesting projects and more photoshop (if I get the hang of it haha)
What’s a dream project you have always wanted to work on?
I don’t have a dream project as of right now.
Where can people find your works?
Mainly on my instagram @expllode and twitter @expllode but feel free to add me on Snapchat as well
If we had a peek at the music on your phone, what would we find?
I listen to a wide range of artists mainly rappers. Although I have a secret love for Slayer.
